Rising Atlanta rapper Young Nudy arrived at Hot 95 radio wearing a camouflage Fendi shirt, bedazzled “21” and “PDE” necklaces, and an entourage when he made one thing clear:

“When you think of Zone 6 you need to think about Young Nudy.”

Young Nudy, soon after enjoying a few wings from the Bay Street Bar and Grill below the station and a smoke break, sat down with Arielle St. Aidan, Yuall The Plugg and DJ HIRIHANNA on Plugg Talk Radio Show on Hot 95 Radio while in Jacksonville, Florida on June 16th for a show at Bliss Ultra lounge Nightclub.

Young Nudy, a member of PDE Slaughter Gang alongside 21 Savage, made his debut on the rap scene featured on 21’s “Air It Out” single in 2015. The success of the song, with over 45 million views on YouTube is what made Young Nudy take rapping serious.

“Rapping was just something to do. I wasn’t even studding that shit foreal foreal, I was in the streets. But when I made ‘Air It Out’ with [21] savage ass, he was like man just stay on it[rapping].”

Nudy was impressed with the turnout, and the green light from 21 Savage prompted him to release more music.

Since the single’s release, Young Nudy has released two mixtapes, Slimeball and Slimeball 2, with singles “Yeah Yeah”, “Trapoholic” and “EA” doing commercially well and being featured on Drake’s OVO SOUND RADIO’s playlists. On both mixtapes, the mixtape art feature Child’s Play horror film series main character Chucky. Although he is unsure why he likes to use Chucky on his mixtape covers, Young Nudy’s favorite film is when Chucky “has the shit face”. Having a horror movie character on the cover of a new mixtape may be a “Slaughter Gang” thing, with 21 savage using the Jason Mask in mixtape covers and appearances (occasionally).

Road life has been treating the Slaughter Gang member well. He went on a 29-city-tour with 21 Savage, Young M.A. and Tee Grizzley earlier this year. When asked if he liked going on tour, he said tour keeps him out of trouble and he likes to smoke on the road. What’s a tour without good gas? He and members of his camp are still unsure which area has the best “good gas”: Washington [state] or Los Angeles. But before any dealers approach Young Nudy and his crew for the good-good, you must know he does not deal with edibles, because it had him “sleep, gatdamn throwing up and sh*t.”

Where there’s a tour with [T]rap superstars, there are women who want to be lovin’ the crew. There is a Lady Nudy anywhere? Obviously not, because a “good jaw”and a nice “jaw session” is all he is looking for in a woman. His words, not mine.

Currently, he is on tour with Playboi Carti and Pi’erre Bourne, a producer who Young Nudy uses almost exclusively.

Young Nudy has been knowing Pi’erre Bourne for quite some time and the young producer walked away from an engineering gig at Epic Records to explore new options and its been working well for him. Pi’erre Bourne told XXL magazine how when he was an engineer at Epic, he had to sneak Young Nudy into sessions after work.

“Man I been working with my boy[Pi’erre Bourne] before anybody!”

When asked why Bourne took a leap of faith and left Epic Records to work with him full-time (at the time), he said maybe Epic Records “must be wasn’t doing him right.”

Bourne, who now collaborates with both artists more than any other producers, may be creating hot new street bangers while the trio are on tour now. I’m patiently awaiting a joint mixtape to drop, or that could be wishful thinking.

“Yo Pi’erre you wanna come out here?”
