Not so fast! Federal judge blocks the Trump administrations’ attempt to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Action act, or DACA.
California Judge William Alsup also wants the White House to continue processing DACA applications for renewal, but not new applications for protections.
DACA provide protection to young undocumented immigrants in the United States from deportation. Last September, the Trump Administration claimed to end the program by March 2018.
There are over 700,000 “Dreamers” protected under the Obama-era legislation. Trump’s cabinet have been attempting to end DACA under border protection measures.
In his order to block the DACA attempt, Alsop cited how Trump supported the program publicly and now trying to rescind it.
Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!…..

“We seem to be in the unusual position wherein the ultimate authority over the agency, the Chief Executive, publicly favors the very program the agency has ended”-California Federal Judge William Alsop
Although this is a temporary solution, the “Dreamers” are anxiously awaiting a permanent decision.
