Described by her critics and some peers in the judicial system as ‘overzealous’, Florida prosecutor Angela Corey conceded her re-election campaign Tonight to challenger Melissa Nelson in a landslide defeat. Corey, best-known for her special prosecution appointment to the Trayvon Martin murder trial in which she failed to convict George Zimmerman in his death, is also criticized for harsh sentences given to offenders and handing out the death penalty in Florida.
